This blog entry is perhaps the most readable synopsis of the Cory Voorhis case.
 

Our current govenor is Bill Ritter.

When Bill was running for office in 2003 he made a claim he was tough on immigration; it was total bunk. So much so a local stationed ICE agent by the name of Cory Voorhis made press contacts to set the record straight. What record?

The fact that when Ritter was a DA he would allow illegals to plead out for agricultural trespass even when arrested for--oh say--felony drug traficking. One of his pleaders, a heroin dealer, later skated to California where he raped a child.

This latter fact was brought to light, not by Voorhis who was only talking to the press, but some as yet unknown party from Texas and they did so by accessing the NCIC.

Still, when Ritter's campaign was broadsided by this fact they needed a distraction so they went after Cory. They charged him with misuse of government records.

The jury took less than 2 hours to acquit but along the way Cory's boss Tony Rucco committed perjury saying Cory had not been allowed to access the NCIC.

I say perjury because an IA investigation concluded this past spring says as much but Rucco remains at his job.

Oh, and he fired Cory...even after Cory was acquitted.

Ironically, the Ritter cabal apparently wanted to know who the drug dealing child raper was so they had accessed the NCIC...the very thing they prosecuted Cory for.

But you can't say that so they said Ritter was being threatened by a Romanian gangster.

Three years later it almost looked like they got away with it. Then Obama nominated Ritter's go-to-girl Stephanie Villafuerte to be fed prosecutor.

Villafuerte was on Ritter's campaign an instrumental to this entire scheme.

Her call records recently leaked.

No mention of death threats or Romanians.

They SWEAR it was true and said the Denver PD even added extra patrolmen to watch the Ritter home.

The Denver PD replied, "lol...what?"

No report of any significant threat exists in the PD records even though the manual requires it.

When Ritter and Co. were being deposed by the FBI for the Voorhis trial none of them mentioned a Romanian.

But the existence of said Romanian was attested to under oath for the trial.

So we have a bunch of perjurers keeping their jobs or getting promoted while a young family man is drummed out of his career even after being acquitted.

BTW - Cory currently owes $5,000/month in interest ALONE for his legal fees and is working a part-time job..and is under a gag order to not speak to the media.
